Two large compositions constitute one of Terje Rypdal’s most adventurous albums. The title piece, a 45 minute epic, was commissioned by the Hilliard Ensemble and recorded at the Brucknerhaus Linz in 2003 with the British vocal group and the Bruckner Orchestra under Dennis Russell Davies. The Hilliards sing texts drawn from Native American poetry, from Chippewa, Navajo, Pima, and Papago sources, and Rypdal’s sustained electric guitar lines soar melodically and dramatically above the strings’ broad planes of sound.

Then Play On was Fleetwood Mac s 1969 debut on Reprise. This expanded and remastered edition features the original U.K running order and track segues, with “One Sunny Day” and “Without You” making their first appearance on a CD issue of the album, as well as new liner notes by veteran rock journalist David Fricke and four bonus tracks, including the revered single “Oh Well Pt. 1,” which boasts one of the great guitar riffs in rock history and has been covered by likes of Billy F Gibbons, Jimmy Page, and Tom Petty.

Fleetwood Mac was already a popular blues band in 1969 when they released Then Play On, the group s stellar third studio album. It was the first with guitarist-songwriter Danny Kirwan and ultimately its last with founding member Peter Green. Glen Campbell offers stunning takes of his career-defining hits on his 2013 album See You There. These gorgeous vocals were initially recorded during the Ghost On The Canvas sessions. Producers Dave Darling and Dave Kaplan were so moved by these powerful performances, they decided to bring a group of musicians into the studio that would complement Glen s legendary voice. The resulting album is at once chilling, uplifting, haunting and spine tingling.

“When Glen heard what they did in reinterpreting these songs, he lit up and was smiling from ear to ear. And I was too, ” says Kim Campbell, Glen s wife. “This record is a more intimate and unique take on many of Glen s most popular songs as well as some other gems. The producers took the magic of his voice and showcased it in a whole new way for Glen.”

The album’s title, See You There, an expression that s been a trademark of Glen’s for years, takes on an added poignancy at this stage of his life as do the songs that take us back to the early days of his iconic career.

Collin Raye arrived in Nashville in 1991 with two strikes against him: a history as a lounge singer in Reno and a decidedly uncountry moniker (real name: Floyd Collin Wray). Neither a sexy performer nor, with his soft, colorless tenor, a stellar talent, Raye nevertheless found a niche as a suburban Everyman. His sentimental but affecting middle-of-the-road songs found him wrestling with essential human drama, i.e., the pain of being a recovering alcoholic and the desire to be a better husband and father. This album further develops his persona as a simple family man-the kind who still believes in prayers before supper-trying to cope with a rapidly changing world.
